Candidates must receive an ITCILO Certificate of Achievement for each of the courses they complete, as per each course’s requirements, as they build their Diploma pathway.

Design

The Diploma follows a modular and cumulative structure that allows you to progress alongside your professional commitments. The flexible structure allows you to plan your learning pathway over time.

Step 1 – Academy on Labour Migration

Complete the Academy on Labour Migration, providing a shared analytical foundation and policy framework to anchor your learning path. Any course can be the starting point for your Diploma path, and while completion of the Academy is mandatory, you can choose how to sequence your courses based on your interests and availability.

Step 2 – Three eligible Labour Migration courses

Select and complete three eligible labour migration courses from the ITCILO portfolio – in any order. Courses may be delivered online, face-to-face or in blended format. Each course leads to an ITCILO Certificate of Achievement.

Step 3 – Capstone project

Undertake an individual capstone project applying the knowledge and analytical approaches acquired to a specific country, sectoral or institutional context.

Step 4 – Diploma award

Upon successful completion of all requirements within a five-year period, you are awarded the Diploma for Labour Migration Experts and Practitioners.
